JULY 2018
Game Galleries
The main focus of Game Cache is to provide actual gameplay screenshots so that you know how games actually look since the majority of publishers use bullshots to promote their games today. During the month of June, two new galleries were uploaded and the Game Galleries were revamped to make browsing easier.
New Galleries
The Revamp
Game Galleries are no longer contained within blog posts, which makes browsing the galleries and browsing the blog much easier since the two are now separated.

What I Am Playing
My eye has been on Ni no Kuni II for some time before it released, but for some bewildering reason I have not purchased Ni no Kuni II until this previous week during the Steam Summer Sale. I regret not purchasing this masterpiece when it first released, because Ni no Kuni II is wonderful.
A full screenshot gallery for Ni no Kuni II is in the works, but honestly just play it. It's beautiful, charming and fun. I have not played Breath of the Wild, because I don't want to purchase a Nintendo Switch, but I feel like Ni no Kuni II could feel the void for fellow non-Switch owners.
When Ni no Kuni II first caught my eye I thought the protagonist was female, but no...Evan is a boy. I spend more time playing as Roland, though because Roland has a gun and if you've ever taken an English course you'll know that that means that Roland is running around with at least three penises: his sword, his gun, and his actual penis. You can have up to three swords equipped at once though.
Despite purchasing Ni No Kuni II at a discount, this game is worth the full $59.99 USD price tag.
EXPANSIONS - THANK YOU READERS
When I started GAME CACHE, it was just a blog on Tumblr where I periodically posted 10 screenshots from games that I was playing. I was fed up with the amount of bullshots appearing on store pages and in promotional material and wanted to provide a way for fellow gamers to see what the games actually look like.
I wanted to do more with GAME CACHE, though and have spent the last few months thinking about what I could do to grow the site. Game galleries, reviews, miniseries, and a monthly newsletter.
The game galleries will continue and will become more frequent again. Every time I upload a game gallery, I will also write a review for the game. I haven't quite yet started writing reviews, but it's something to expect. If I fall in love with a game, I will do a miniseries documenting my time with it. The first miniseries just started ("The Adventures of Vant-aj"). And this of course is the second monthly newsletter. I'm calling it EXPANSIONS and I thank you for reading!
Disclaimer: GAME CACHE does not own the Doom Eternal video contained in this issue of EXPANSIONS.
